Technology

Vibration put to work for the process

Vibration applied to the conveying and classification of solids is a proven technology whose effectiveness has never been matched. Vibrating screens replaced the hand sieves and static meshes used for centuries. For conveying and feeding, vibration moves material successfully out of a hopper or at high temperature, complementing apron and chain systems without their mechanical drawbacks.

At COMSPAIN we design, manufacture and maintain vibrating equipment for screening, classification, feeding and conveying, with experience in related fields such as rotary classification, washing and grinding. We cover the full cycle: basic and detail engineering, manufacture, erection, commissioning and after-sales service.

Range

Vibrating equipment

Vibrating screens

Sizing by particle size, in horizontal or inclined models, single- or multi-deck.

Scalping screens

Pre-separation of oversize material, at cut sizes up to 350 mm.

Vibrating feeders

Steady, controlled feeding of material out of hoppers or silos.

Vibrating conveyors

Conveying of solids, including at high temperature.

Classifiers

Fine separation, down to below 1 mm.

We also build: rotary classification, washing systems and special vibrating equipment.

Capacity

From oversize material to fine classification

Vibration can be generated mechanically (vibrator motors, exciters or counterweighted shafts) or electromagnetically. Scalping screens reach cut sizes of up to 350 mm and, at the other end of the range, screens can classify below 1 mm — covering everything from primary separation of large lumps to fine classification of finished product.

Horizontal screens work on a unidirectional vibration diagram obtained with dual-shaft generators: monobloc exciters, twin vibrator motors or a counterweighted double shaft. They reach screening surfaces of up to 30-36 m² (3 × 10 m or 4 × 9 m), with vibrating weights over 25 t.

The equipment is supplied with feed or discharge hoppers, frames, counterweights, sealed enclosures and washing systems, as the installation requires.

Advanced engineering

Engineering in every detail

  • Mechanical vibration (vibrator motors, exciters, counterweighted shafts) or electromagnetic

  • Horizontal and inclined models, single- or multi-deck

  • Simple implantation: horizontal screens install in reduced spaces, even on a slightly ascending slope

  • Screen and drive unit fully interchangeable, keeping maintenance straightforward

  • Working range from 350 mm cut sizes down to classification below 1 mm

  • Robust construction with sealed enclosures and purpose-built frames

  • Can be integrated with hoppers, washing systems and conveying equipment

  • Built as catalogue models or to the customer’s specification

Industries

Applications

Classification, screening and conveying of solids, with particular experience in fertilizers and mining:

  • Classification of fertilizers and phosphates
  • Screening of minerals in mining and quarrying
  • Feeding and conveying of product along process lines
  • Other bulk solids from the chemical and materials industries
