Our approach
In-house engineering, start to finish
At COMSPAIN we don’t resell catalogue equipment: we design it.
Every project starts by understanding the customer’s product — its particle size, its moisture content, its thermal and mechanical behaviour — and ends with a machine built for that specific process. In between there are more than 50 years of experience, more than 700 installations across five continents and an engineering team that masters both the process and the mechanics.
That dual competence — process and construction — is what lets us take a project from concept to equipment in operation, with a single engineering contact throughout.

What we do
Detail engineering
Complete mechanical design of the equipment: drum shells, riding rings, girth gears, drive trains, internals and ancillaries, ready for manufacture.
Testing and sizing
Drying and cooling tests on the actual product, so the equipment can be sized with guarantees before it is manufactured.
Calculation and simulation
Structural and process calculations backed by computer-aided design (3D CAD), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to optimise performance, strength and service life.
Custom design
Fully adapted to the product, the capacity and the conditions of the plant; we don’t start from a fixed model, but from the real requirement.
Plant integration
Coordination of the whole line: feeding, conveying, dust collection, automation and ancillary equipment.

Product and process analysis
We study the product and the requirements: what has to be achieved, and under what conditions.

Where necessary, we run drying and cooling tests so the equipment can be sized with guarantees from the actual product.

Basic and detail engineering
We define the process and design the complete machine, ready for manufacture.

Manufacturing and quality control
We manufacture under the supervision of our quality department (ISO 9001, non-destructive testing where applicable).

Erection and commissioning
We erect the equipment, commission it and validate its performance on site.
